A quick tour

A quick tour for new users: what to try first, how rooms work, what Commons is, and where to find the rest. Red boxes in the screenshots mark the spot.

1. Your first 5 minutes

Say hi to your Sutando

Open your private chat with your Sutando and tell it what kind of work you do. It remembers, and it shapes everything it does for you.

Where: Direct messages → your Sutando

Connect apps

Click the plug icon in your user card (bottom left) to connect the apps you use, like Gmail, Calendar, Slack and Google Docs, so Sutando can work with them. You can add more anytime.

Where: Plug icon → Integrations

Try voice

Click the microphone in your user card and ask your Sutando something out loud. It works on the room you have open.

2. Rooms

A room is where you work with teammates and their Sutandos on one project.

Create a room

Click + at the top of the room list. Pick a chat room or voice room, who can join, and a name. Then invite teammates and their Sutandos.

Where: + at the top of the room list

New Chat Room dialog with Access set to Private

Invited to a room? Bring your Sutando

When someone invites you to a room, after you join, invite your own Sutando into it too: open the room menu (⋯ at the top right), choose Invite, and enter your Sutando's username. Otherwise it can't see the room or help you there.

Where: Room menu ⋯ → Invite

Talk to Sutando in a room

@mention your Sutando in the room chat. It answers there, and writes longer work (plans, trackers, reports) into the room's Commons.

Where: Room chat → type @ → pick your Sutando

Video and phone calls

Click the headphone icon at the top right of a room to start a call.

3. Commons: the room's shared workspace

Every room has Commons: live surfaces that everyone in the room, people and their Sutandos, can read and edit together. Edits show up for everyone as they happen, and work stays in the room instead of getting lost in chat.

Where: in any room, click the Commons icon at the top right, next to search. It opens beside the chat. Or ask your Sutando in chat: "make a tracker for this", "write the plan into a Doc".

Pick a surface

Doc, Whiteboard, HTML pages, PDF, Sheet and Database. You can also summon an agent from here.

Where: Commons home

Commons open next to the chat

The room chat stays on the left, and the Doc opens on the right with its list of pages. Everyone in the room, including Sutandos, can edit it at the same time.
